| xero Experimental Dept. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 17/KT. December 7th 1933. A. {Mr Adams} Healey Esq., The Dunlop Rubber Co. Ltd., Fort Dunlop, Erdington, Birmingham. Dear Mr.Healey, Many thanks for your letter of the 5th inst. The actual position is that we are not going for any long distance records and really high speeds, but we have a car which I am taking over to Montlhery next week on which we expect to put in a few laps at 100 M.P.H. The maximum distance we are likely to run without easing up is 6 to 7 miles. We do not want the tread of the tyre to come off as we have rather close wing clearances. We presume that the tyre which you mention you have available will do the job quite satisfactorily. As I hope to go over to Montlhery on Wednesday of next week, will you please let me have five tyres by Monday if you do not think that the standard Dunlop production tyre will do the job. I rather feel that in this wintry weather there will not be the remotest chance of failure on your ordinary tyre. Yours sincerely, | ||
