In view of the fact that 5¼" Dunlop Cord Extra Heavy Wired on Tyres on 4½" X 21" Well Base Rims have been standardized on this Chassis, we shall be glad to have your remarks on the following points:- Actual size of new extra heavy tyre is 32.450 X 5.370 as compared with 33.500 X 5.000 for the Straight Sided Tyre. (1) Is there sufficient adjustment left in the centre of the Rear Carrier to allow for the deflation of the new tyre or would it be better to use the shoes on the Crossmember as already instructed for the 820 X 120 m {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} /m Tyres. In your opinion would the 820 X 120 m {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} /m type shoes make a better job? (2) The same thing applies to the Side Carrier. Will the 820 X 120 m {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} /m Support Tube and Bracket be more satisfactory than the present Standard to suit the new tyre. Your early reply will oblige as we are waiting to order the necessary material. (WHOLE AT CROMER) BY {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} /HEB. {H.
