RE C.M.3 COPPER MORGANITE BRUSHES FOR STARTER MOTOR.

We have on the bench run a motor fitted with these brushes, intermittently under extra heavy load conditions, the brake load being such that the motor took 135 amps. running current. We have now made 80 starts, after each start the motor was allowed to run for five minutes. It has completed this test with the brushes and commutator in perfectly good condition.
