PH.5/W22.6.33.

Spare Wheel Carriers, Phantom II.

I looked into this matter closely with E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} and Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} yesterday in Derby. E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} agrees with me that apparently the vibratory movements take place externally to the side frame member, and probably in the curve of the two tubes supporting the wheel.

He is instructing immediately an experimental bracket in which the two tubes are considerably larger in diameter. I hope that we shall have particulars of the testing of this modification in about 8 days.
