Messrs. Rolls Royce Limited,
DERBY.

For the attention of Mr. Grylls.

23rd April, 1934.

Dear Sirs,

Referring to the writer's call on the 19th inst., we would confirm that the three solid tyred wheels returned to our Nottingham Depot fitted with tyres Nos:

OUX.10331.
EM.13006.
SMX.10505.

have now been refitted and returned to you.

The consignment was sent forward on the 30th ult. under our advice note D {John DeLooze - Company Secretary} /D.151, the numbers of the replacement tyres being:

HO.11223.
HO.11224.
HO.11273.

The three tyres removed have been examined and found to be past repair. Failure is due to overheating caused by nature of the particular test in which they were employed on the dynamometer.

Our examiners report that the tyres are not in any way defective and we take it you wish us to scrap them.

Yours faithfully,
FOR THE DUNLOP RUBBER CO.LIMITED.

Manager -
Car Manfrs. Division.

P.S. Your letter and print now to hand re wheels for the suggested 8"/720 tyres. This matter is receiving immediate attention.
