Spare Wheel Carriers.
"Phantom II"

We are very much concerned at the amount of 'dither' or vibration which the spare wheel carrier at the side is capable of showing when running on any road which is at all bumpy.

This constitutes a very bad feature in the car, and one which Capt. Gordon Aston recently (when having a press-run) made a very strong point of.

I quite agree with him. The wheel looks almost as if it were going to break off, and in any case one feels there must be some damage of chystalisation in the tubes if this goes on long enough. All the bending appears to take place at a point near the curve of the bent-tubes external to the frame member.

We should be glad to have some proposition for reinforcing this spare wheel bracket.
