would have the radiators with the present high appearance - I refer to their not being dropped through the frame.

This point, however, "went west" in view of the decision referred to in the third paragraph.

I do not feel that this matter XX can be settled satisfactorily by means of correspondence. I am afraid in view of various appointments next week it is not possible for me to come to Derby and I, therefore, suggest that you should have the matter gone into at Derby quickly and then let HY. {Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} and Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} come up to London and see me early next week.

I expect that the Order Office will also have to be consulted and brought into your discussions because presumably a good deal of the material is already well under way.

You will remember that at the last meeting at Derby on the 28th March this question was raised and my recollection quite clearly is that Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} was asked to scrutinise again the Rxx list of new features on 18-G-4 but I have not seenanything from him about it, and it was the result of 18-G-4 being discussed and referred to yesterday afternoon when he was in London that caused me to think the matter over.
