| To Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} From G.W.H Hotel de France Chateauroux(French test region) Indre 52 We have today tested the car with the rear shock dampers set at 100lbs HP and 75 lbs LP. {Mr Lappin} The first test was without the restrictions. This gave us the best riding we have had so far. In the rear of the car the riding is very steady and when going over a ridge at 60 MPH the passenger is lifted aproximatly four inches off the seat, below this speed there is no lifting. In the front the riding is very steady at all speeds. We then tried the car with the restrictions in keeping the same poundage. In the rear seat more pronounced lifting was definite over the ridge and a general feeling of too much damping, at speeds below 40 MPH no appreciable difference could be noted. n We have not yet get the Telegauge working but we hope to do so tomorrow. Our best setting of the dampers is Front 66x60 lbs with the restrictions. Rear 100 lbs HP 75 lbs LP {Mr Lappin} no restrictions. G.W.H. My/SS {S. Smith} 12EBE | ||
