| X/1027 To Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R. {Sir Henry Royce} Copy to CJ. " " Da. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} " " EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} " " EP. {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} " " PN. {Mr Northey} X-3634. RE TOOL KIT. I understandwe are not now recommending the £4 piece of leather for the tool kit, but a tool tray or other such fitting to suit the body. It should be locked with the ignition and bonnet key. The tool kit should be reconsidered to see if we can give a better, lighter or less costly set. Possibly double ended box keys would save a little (the new plug box key with its larger size tommy bar is much better) I have suggested a small pair of gas pliers (which I have carried for years) to be included ; they rare very useful for tyre valve, etc. R. {Sir Henry Royce} | ||
