| To Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re 22-G-V and the recent Reports. Sg {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} 2/E17.3.36 I am particularly interested in one or two points from which this car is suffering but which have not been prevalent on my car. The first is the question of the engine being difficult to start when hot. I see in the report dated the 13th it says that it is improved with float chamber drain pipe removed but is not completely satisfactory but intake pipe to silencer removed is a definite cure. If removing the intake pipe to silencer is a complete cure, I should like to know what the disadvantage is of removing it as presumably it is there for some definite purpose. The other point is the water temperature and the water loss. I have not suffered from either of these things and I am wondering why the trouble prevails on 22.G-V. {VIENNA} I am naturally concerned over these points because of the proximity of production.
