File WRAITH 111 - HIGH FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING WITH OFFSET NOSE. Please receive herewith' E.CD.273 Triangular High Front Engine Mounting with Offset Nose Bearing. This is intended to be the final design for future Wraith lll cars, calling for a modified facing on the cylinder block, and does not apply to the six cars now being built. The triangular support member is the same as the one instructed for the six cars, as also is the fixing of the member to the chassis frame, further information for this is shown on the original design to E.CD.61. The amount of offset for the nose bearing has been agreed upon as 1.875", and will be common to both Wraith lll and Bentley lll, so that the same cylinder blocks and nose bearings will be used for both cars. We shall be sending a design for the Torque Reaction Damper to be used in conjunction with this engine support shortly. Will you please detail and instruct the necessary parts for this job experimentally, so thatit can be tried out ready for any future Wraith lll cars when they are instructed for production.
