| X217. To BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} E.6/HP.20.9.33. c. for. Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Sft. {Mr Swift} Bentley Solid Crankshaft. We attach herewith memo Sft. {Mr Swift} 4/BH.19.9.33, from which you will see that Sft. {Mr Swift} is all in favour of forming the balance weights solid with the crankshaft, which they estimate would be at least 20% cheaper to produce. It is, therefore, all a question now of the possibilities of the forging. E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
