Phantom III Propellor Shafts.

We do not consider that propellor shafts on this car can be balanced sufficiently accurately by the usual kidney shaped washers. These latter can only be fixed in four positions. Propellor shafts that the Exptl. Dept. obtain from the Works are never correctly balanced. We proved on the last one that the position of unbalance could not be corrected by the usual washers.

We recommend that at the front end only a balancing flange be introduced and that this is drilled at the required place to correct unbalance.

Will By please instruct this as soon as possible. No excuse will then remain for shafts not in balance.
