| To Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} From G.W.H. Hotel de France Chateauroux(French test region) Indre 16/4/29 We have increased the lead on the cross steering tube ball ends, the tangential pull at the steering wheel now being 7 Lbs. The jeddles on the wheel are reduced aproximatly 30%. The servo fabric was again dosed with oil and is now throughly soaked. We should say under these conditions we have lost 20% of the servo efficency this amount having to be applied by the feet. We received the damper during the morning and are fitting it up this afternoon with 50-100 head, to complete the tests which you requested. We have not yet heard anything of the 20 HP. Is it coming to Chateauroux(French test region) or has it returned to Derby? G.W.H. [Handwritten Annotations] Top right corner: 60 Bottom left corner: RM {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /SS {S.
