Dear Sirs,

We beg to thank you for the interview afforded our Mr. Tompkins on Friday last in connection with our recent proposal for a "Nash Hytor" Vacuum Pump and we understand our Tender No. 6622 of the 20th ultimo should be revised on the basis of texrope drive.

We suggest that a combined baseplate be eliminated, we providing a soleplate beneath the Compressor feet only, you supplying the motor complete with slide rails, the unit then conforming to preliminary Drawing No. GB.320 attached. On this basis we have pleasure to re-quote you as follows:-

The Pump mounted upon cast iron soleplate furnished complete with texrope drive including driver and driven pulleys with texropes of suitable centres.

We would also furnish G.M. spring loaded relief valve and suitable silencer for the air discharge.

DESPATCH ESTIMATE: 3/4 working weeks.

Trusting our offer will now be found more in line with your requirements and we hope to be favoured with your esteemed order in due course.

Yours faithfully,
NORMAN ENGINEERING COMPANY.
