To: EEC Order No: AB 75 Customer's No.: 1 2 July 1923 Polarity of Goshawk(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine)) Dynamos. A test on commutation, extending over two days was made with the standard expl. dynamos and No. 288 dynamo, in which the machines, running under load, were reversed in polarity every hour or so. The general result, which is consistent between the two machines, is that very little difference in behaviour is found, although, with the reversed polarity, the new positive brush appears slightly less rough than the old, while the new negative brush is no worse than the old. There is always a tendency (contd) Signed This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
