car the control has been taken off & there has been 50lbs on the Hartfords. I gave him the car in the first place with this setting to try, as owing to the valves in the governor not working I had no opportunity to run the car under French conditions without Hartfords. He was so impressed with its road holding & steering that he asked me not to alter it as he considers it ideal for the type of customer he has been demonstrating too. I am hoping to get him out during the week end & to proceed to Chateauroux(French test region) on Monday.
My own view of these dampers based on my run on Sun last is that they will be sufficient without Hartfords at high speeds & also the absence of Hartfords at low speeds will add to the comfort, but I anticipate that the relief valve will have to be set at 25lbs at least.
