RIVETTING OF WRAITH BRAKE FERODO.

With reference to our memo Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /AFM {Anthony F. Martindale} 1/JH. 4.1.37., we have been going into the question of modifying the design of Wraith shoes so that they can be rivetted on the automatic Bifurcated rivetter, as we understand the bonus time per shoe when this machine is used is half that for the non-automatic machine.

We are asking the Design Department to alter the shoes in the manner suggested in the attached letter. If you then wish to use the automatic rivetter you can do so providing you buy the new anvil. We imagine this will be well worth while.

If you do intend to buy the new anvil, will you please let us know as we will then send to Aylesbury a Wraith rear shoe, in accordance with their request.
