Engine cut-out issues when opening the throttle at low speed on a gradient.

Identifier  ExFiles\Box 122\1\  scan0195
Date  7th June 1935

-2-

Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /GR. {George Ratcliffe} 14/KW.7.6.35.

The worst condition is on a gradient at 4 m.p.h.
snap opening to 1/3 throttle; engine cuts out dead.

As regards (2), this would be greatly improved
with more economic setting at the high speeds.

We would welcome your comments on the above,
and hope the information will be of interest.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
