| - 2 - BY.23/G.26.1.38. stands today, I find that the adoption of Phan.lll. axle for the Wraith in place of the original Wraith axle lifted the vehicle a sufficient amount to enable us to use what is practically the standard 25/30 battery, with, of course, the reduced length necessary to enable us to put the front of the rear seat back to the plane that it was originally intended to occupy. In doing this we have reduced the ground clearance with the springs on the buffers to 4½" as against a ground clearance of 4" on the present 25/30. Information has been supplied to Park Wards and Hn. {F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} to enable them to deal with the remaining bodies for the first six production cars, all of which are of the close coupled type, so retrieving the 2" we lost between the door pillar and the front of the rear seat. We are ordering three batteries immediately for the vehicles in question, and at some convenient time the body of the car that you are using could similarly be modified. By. {R.W.
