Wraith III - Brake Linkage.

We send herewith N.Sch.5066 showing the use of the new standard forks made from square and rectangular bar throughout the brake system, and the modifications necessary to suit the forks.

The servo cam levers have had to be altered.

It will be seen that they can now be made from the same forging, and that the relation between the cam surfaces and the lever is identical for both levers. In some other respects, however, they must be different.

The cam levers are further from the centre line of the car and the levers on the pedal countershaft to N. Sch.5046 must be placed to suit, as we show on N.Sch.5066.

An economy has been made on the brake pedal by deleting the bent sheet metal bracket and the ferrule for the rod connection and increasing the thickness of the remaining straight bracket to compensate.

The radius of the bracket has been reduced by .125 to give more clearance for the new revised wooden floorboards. No alteration to the brake linkage need be made elsewhere to compensate for this.

A diagram is given of the entire brake linkage showing all the forks and their part numbers.

In accordance with a recent decision we show the brake rods without a reduction of diameter between the screwed ends.
