SHOCK DAMPERS.

DA {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} 2/M28.4.31.

Herewith we send N. sch. 3264. shewing the shock damper with the double acting valve as instructed in R4/M9.4.31.

It will be seen that we have put a number of notes on the drawing referring to points to which we should like Derby to give their attention.

It will also be noticed that we have shewn two covers. this isnecessary with the type of lever pressed together in position which we have shewn in accordance with R's instructions.

It will be noticed that we have effected several small economies in the machining: for instance, we have made a suggestion for avoiding the milling on the inside bearing faces for the main shaft, and the machining on the barrel to clear the inside lever.
