| X1775 Hsl/LG. 13th. June. 1924. T.B.Barrington Esq., Messrs. Rudge Whitworth Ltd., Coventry. Dear Barrington, Recently, when we have set out to cover the max. mileage per day, we have been able to cover consistently 500 miles per day. This is obtained in two shifts - 8 hrs. each shift. They stop half-an-hour for food, and cover 250 miles in 7½ hrs. All the work to be done on the car and the cleaning and oiling is done at night. We find that if the same road is used, the average miles per hour increase considerably as they get to know the road. This average can only be kept up on suitable roads. There is a risk at this time of the year of an early morning mist or fog which, of course, pulls the average down immediately. Yours sincerely, | ||
