Dear Sir, It is only a few months since we first gave the lead to our competitors by the introduction of "CONTINENTAL" OVERSIZE Tyres, and now the leading British and foreign Manufacturers are fitting them to new cars when requested, which point might interest you when visiting OLYMPIA to select your next season's goods. Their advantages were so apparent that they immediately became the talk of the motoring community, and the subject of opposition on the part of our competitors. All kinds of futile and unsound arguments, including strange literary efforts, were resorted to, disparaging the advantages these OVERSIZES offer, without, however, the desired effect being created. Now recognising their error and embellishing their recommendations with various reservations, some of our competitors suggest the adoption of a tyre of the next larger section to fit the smaller rim, which, obviously, is inadequate for the purpose. Through extensive trials, both on road and track, we have proved that "CONTINENTAL" OVERSIZES will give double the mileage—under fair wear and tear—of the ordinary standard tyres. In inventing the word "OVERSIZES" we mean to convey by this expression that the tyres in question are actually stronger and larger than the standard sizes, although in inner circumference and construction they fit exactly the respective standard rim. Our OVERSIZES can be fitted without any alteration to the Rims and Wheels, as under: 125 m {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} /m OVERSIZE Tyre fits 105 m {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} /m Rim, 135 m {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} /m OVERSIZE Tyre fits 120 m {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} /m Rim, 150 m {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} /m OVERSIZE Tyre fits 135 m {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} /m Rim, and they are made in Flat, Three-Ribbed, or Red-Black Steel-Studded Non-Skid Patterns.
