20/25 HP. 'T' Series. 2nd 100.

1. Ball End Pins for supporting radiator were found to be short when passed through crossmember and would not admit of full nut. Parts found to be correct to drawing (D.O. altered this since).

2. Front Tray too close to fan pulley. D.O. agreed to have all made sent back to Mr.Bowers to recess pressed in. Reason for this was 'E' Dept. had brought forward spring drive part - 'G' Dept. who are responsible for tray were not informed of this.

Also in this connection we have to place the fan belt over this pulley before putting engine in frame. If fan belt has to be removed, front tray will have to be taken down - not a nice job and certain to have future complaints.

3. Nuts on outside of frame at point of engine crossmember too thick, would not allow shock damper to bed to frame. D.O. providing thin nuts.

4. Torque re-action dampers foul conduits, danger both of limiting the function of this damper and also causing trouble to wires.

5. Wires at rear end of frame not too satisfactory, passing through hole in frame - possible danger through chaffing.

6. Steam escape pipe has no clear way in between guards and new engine crossmember. To get direct downward outlet - had to squeeze tube oval shaped. Bending would have brought directly over brake rope jaw.

7. Oil Pipe, pump to timing gears. This pipe fouled front tray and had to be shortened.

8. Studs in wheelcase to hold ballast resistance in position found too short though correct to drawing. D.O. altered this and provided new studs.

9. Accelerator Control Shaft on dashboard fouled steering column. This job too close. It so happened that the column was set its dead height, if we took the lowest limit which sometimes we are compelled to - this shaft would have been cut in two.

10. Autovac Pipe to cock body. This pipe when made to drawing was found to have the bend too long where it connects to the tap on tank - was shorteded to suit job.

(Cont'd).
