| To Ps. Paris. From Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rn. {Mr Robinson} 41583 Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 5/LG1 8. 3. 27. LUBRICATING OILS. X967. Attached is a copy of the information you require on Prices Motorine 'C' and Wakefields 'XL' oil. With reference to Mobile 'BB' oil. While we have never actually carried out any exact comparative tests of this oil and Motorine 'C' on the bench, we have run a large number of miles at Chateauroux(French test region) on this oil, and in fact, frequently used it when on the Continent. As regards lubrication, Mobile 'BB' appears to be perfectly good oil but our impression is that it has a slightly greater tendency to carbon up than Motorine 'C'.
