Mr. Skinner,
The S.U. Company,
East Works,
Bordesley Green Rd.
Adderley Park,
Birmingham.

Dear Mr. Skinner,

Designs have now been made incorporating your S.U. carburetter on an engine and we should very much like you to criticise the position, induction pipe arrangement etc. of this carburetter with a view to preventing mistakes being made. The engine to which it is fitted is a 2.4 litre with a Powerplus blower and therefore any information you can bring with you as to the drop across the carburetter with different boost pressures would be of material assistance in indicating the minimum size of carburetter that we may expect to use. The carburetter is, of course, a horizontal one fitted on the suction side of the blower.

We are not proposing at the moment to use any auxiliary slow running device but we could also usefully discuss anything further you have done in this matter should such information be available.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
