We have today received your telegram reading " WAITING REPORT STARTER MOTOR FAILURE IS FLYWHEEL RING DAMAGED THAT YOU CANNOT FIT ANOTHER STARTER MOTOR UNIT". and replied " FLYWHEEL RING TOO DAMAGED TO FIT STARTER MOTRO REPORT IN POST". We have now had considerable experience with the new arrangement of braking i e reduced front braking by using 45° cams lever G 76811 to servo and equalizing shaft levers G 76646 & G 76645 with the dry cotton-duck linings sent out. We like the braking very much, but there is in our opinion 20% too much for high speed/work. Our rear brakes scream out and on wet roads lock easily. We do not want any more or less on the front we consider them just right. It must be remembered however that we are getting the maximum amount of braking from the shoes. We are now fitting the new shoes and most probably they will not be so effective for some time. We have had no trouble with the radiator chocking but will stop lubricating the water pump as per your letter. G.W.H. | ||
