| G.W.Hancock from Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hotel de France, Chateauroux(French test region), Indre, France. X7941. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 2/AD5.5.32. With reference to your wire indicating that you had got bent push rods. We have carefully examined the push rods which we have been running on our test bed engine and these have been used with valves having .050 greater lift than yours and stronger valve springs, and we have been unable to find any of them bent. There are marks on the push rods where they have rubbed the gasket, but this is all. We are therefore somewhat mystified by your trouble and would be glad if you would let us have some more information as soon as you can.
