| To HDY. {William Hardy} from E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Da. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} JNR. {Charles L. Jenner} Ram +435 E.1/HP.7.5.35. Clutch Operation. We tried a Packard 12 last week and this car had a servo assisted clutch operation which worked very nicely. C's car is fitted up in this way with a scheme produced by the Experimental and he is very pleased with it, especially for driving in London traffic. Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} undertook to obtain particulars of the Packard scheme, but in the meantime we should be considering a permanent application of this principle for Spectre(Codename for Phantom III) and Wraith. The Wraith might also be applicable to the 20/25. E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} GRY {Shadwell Grylls} - What about duplicating the scheme on C's car with a clutch having a good mechanical efficiency. Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
