INDUCTION PIPES.

We hand you herewith the induction pipe of which we spoke to you yesterday. The following figures shew the power obtained with this pipe compared with the Expl. pipe on the same engine. We should like you to see if you can confirm these results, and after you have tried this pipe out we should like to have it back, and we will then analyse it to see where its deficiency lies. At present it is clear that the carburetter board does not match up with the induction pipe, but we think that there may be also discrepancies in the fit of the weir.

Power curve of engine as received shewed it to be considerably down in power at the low speeds - i.e. below 1500 R.P.M., being caused by bad distribution and uneven running.

It was found mainly due to induction manifold and weir bend, for by fitting a manifold off another unit, the power obtained was normal.
