WRAITH III. FRONT SUSPENSION.
----------------------------
[Handwritten: We]
After discussion with E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} and Da. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} it [strikethrough]has been decided[/strikethrough] to [strikethrough]simplify[/strikethrough] the proposed diagonal bracing scheme which we have in hand for you, by retaining the inner suspension pots and by leaving the dampers in position in the spring pots.
We shall need a modified casting for the pot having attachment bosses for the top flange of the crossmember, but by this scheme we greatly [strikethrough]enhance the rigidity of[/strikethrough] the structure over the design you saw this morning.
The dampers will be extracted by removing the lower plate of the box crossmember, or part of the same plate.
To avoid the fitting up of Gordon [strikethrough]Armstrong[/strikethrough] dampers will simplify the scheme immensely.
