| X. 1782 . X.1782 X.2434 WESTON ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENT COMPANY LTD, AUDREY HOUSE, ELY PLACE, HOLBORN, LONDON E.C.1. June 12th 1919. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Nightingale Road, DERBY. Dear Sirs, X.2434 Weston A.C. Milliammeter X.1782 Ref. Wd {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} /EM8/E6.6.19. In reply to yours of the 6th inst, we have pleasure in enclosing herewith our quotation for a Model 370 A.C and D.C Mil-ammeter which is described in our List 2002/4. You will note that the price is the same for a 30 M.A. instrument or a 75 M.A. instrument, and we should like to hear if a 30 M.A. range would be sufficient for your purpose, because we could arrange to deliver this within about 3 weeks. We have also quoted you for a suitable non-inductive resistance to read up to 250 volts, but if you had this for a range of 30 M.A. we should make the reading up to 300 volts, so that would give you a multiplier of 10. You will note the exceptional characteristics of these instruments from the descriptive matter in the list which we are sending you, and we would state that these represent practically the last word in dynamometer type instruments of this description. We are confident that you will be well satisfied with these if you decide to place your order with us, but perhaps in addition to the Mil-ammeter you will decide to have one of our Model 341 Voltmeters in place of the external resistance for the mil-ammeter. In this case you will note that we can give you a double range voltmeter for say 300 V and 150 V which may prove more convenient. We await the favour of your reply, Yours truly, WESTON ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENT CO LTD. ENCLOS: | ||
