Hancock - Head Chateauroux} 11/KW.8.10.35. 25 HP. Accelerator Pedal Load. We have arranged with Mx. {John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} to move the stop for the return coiled spring on the accelerator pedal, releasing the tension of the spring approx. .625". This brings the load on the pedal down to approx. 5 lbs. Mx. {John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} is going to carry out this scheme on six cars and in the event of it being satisfactory will inform BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} , so that the alteration can be made standard. This scheme has been tried out on two 10,000 miles car in France and was perfectly satisfactory.
