| Rudge-Whitworth Limited. TELEGRAMS, TELEPHONE RUDGE, 1104. COVENTRY. TBB/B. Coventry. Friday, June 6th, 1924. E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hives Esq., Rolls Royce, Ltd., DERBY. Dear Hives, What daily distance do you find that you can expect regularly from say two testers on one car when you are attempting to get the maximum mileage in the smallest number of weeks.? I seem to remember that we thought a daily average of 300 miles pretty good. We find we cannot do so much of this regularly with only two riders for a motor cycle. I should like to know at the same time how many driving hours a day you expect and get from them. Of course the conditions of driving a car and riding a motor cycle are very different, and weather has a bigger effect in pulling down the mileage of a motor cycle than for a car. Yours sincerely, J. {Mr Johnson W.M.} P. Barrington. | ||
