Attention of Mr.Robotham. Messrs. Rolls-Royce,Limited., DERBY. File Dear Sir, We thank you very much for the time which you were able to put at the disposal of Messrs. High Duty Alloys and ourselves in connection with the AC.9. Bearing job, and the copy letter enclosed which I have written to Mr.Salt more or less sums up the final position. We now wish to know where we are as regards heat-treatment and Brinell hardness checking as I am of the opinion that the analysis is now settled and provided we do get the same hardness figure, then everything is "straight-sailing". Should there by any discrepancies it may be necessary to have one more meeting and correct up where any of us have been in error and the job should then be straight-forward. Regarding the visit to De Havillands I am endeavouring to get in touch with Mr. Brodie and will fix this, if possible for the week after next, that is the week commencing the 21st. Yours faithfully, for WELLWORTHY PISTON RINGS LIMITED. [Signature] Technical Manager. | ||
