RE. GOSHAWK(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine)) DISC CRANKSHAFT. X.4221.

Would you kindly send us a blue print giving the dimensions of the disc crankshaft that was tried on the Goshawk(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine))?

Mr. Royce would like to know if you have anything further to report regarding the behaviour of this shaft in the engine. He understands that no beneficial effects were observed but that the engine at the high speeds was very much the same as with the standard crankshaft.

E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
