Wraith II Front Pivot.

On the first Wraith II front pivots the bore for the pivot bearing has come out slightly eccentric with the forging, with the nett result that the housing for the pivot top bearing is thin. As on the original design W.Sch.4813 the thickness of this metal is shown rather thin (.150”)/we agree to the suggestion of HPS {Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} that the section be increased, and we send herewith W.Sch.4992 showing our proposal.

A rib is provided at the top and bottom of the boss for the top bearing housing and this could be achieved by altering the existing dies.

Whilst the present forgings can be used for the first cars, it is desired to have the new piece for the 10,000 miles car.

Att:N.Sch.4992.
