Wraith III Gearbox.

With reference to N.Sch.5064, we understand that none of the items shewn and referred to in E {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} /HDY. {William Hardy} 1/HP.16.3.37 are to be proceeded with at present, excepting the provision for removing the constant mesh wheel from the shaft. However, there is one other item which we should be glad to have included in the specification at once, namely, the oil holes in the constant mesh pinion and 3rd speed driven gear. The present arrangement is not satisfactory at low speeds. Experiments may show that the scoop can be deleted when oil holes are provided.
