Item No.(7). - This car was fitted with an improved type servo similar to the one which ran on 21-G.4 in France chiefly in order for us to gain experience with it. The Std. servo which was removed has been used up.

In the way in which E.R.Hall drives his car he can provide us with valuable experience of brakes in the same way as Mr. Fairey had special parts fitted to his Phantom for experience.

It will be seen that the big item is the question of the front wings. They are certainly very much more expensive than we anticipated they would be but I do not see how we can charge them to Mr. Hall.

Since your decision the other day of not giving Mr. Hall any further assistance we have instructed that on no account is this car to be allowed in the Experimental Dept.
