P.11 SUPPORT FOR SIDE SPARE WHEEL CARRIERS

FROM 89 TH. CHASSIS IN N.2. SERIES.

With reference to our Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Les.1/MA.8.4.32 we consider it necessary to fit the concealed supports LeC.3021 and Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 558 to both sides of all chassis. The Off-side being necessary for supporting the pedals. Also spare wheel carriers are sometimes fitted by the coachbuilders.

As the spare wheels very largely depend on the step iron under the wheel for their steadyness, we consider the well in the wing should be bolted to the step-iron. The well is bolted to the step-iron on J.lll.
