| To C. from Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /AJL. c. to SG. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} 44565 Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /AJL1/LG17.11.27. TYRE MILEAGE. Y3809 X4565 X44050 We have now used well base wheels and low pressure tyres sufficiently long to be able to give a fair average life mileage for comparison with s.s. cord tyre figures. Average mileage of 11 33 X 5" s.s. cord tyres = 7,004 " " 14 33 X 6.75" w.b. tyres = 7,091 It cannot be said therefore that the life of the well base tyre is less than the old straight sided tyres under similar conditions.
