23rd. September 1938.

J.Howlett, Esq.,
Messrs. Wellworthy Piston Rings Ltd.,
Lymington,
HANTS.

Dear Mr.Howlett,

Thank you for your letter of the 21st. September. It is most unfortunate that High Duty Alloys did not keep you informed with regard to the necessity of adding magnesium on re-melt of bearing alloy. As we have this trouble to a considerable extent ourselves, High Duty Alloys were certainly aware of the difficulty. However, as you pointed out, one always has to come through these teething troubles with any new development.

You may rely upon our co-operation at all times.

Yours sincerely,
