| To Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ; From G.W.H. Y7941 96 Hotel de France Chateauroux(French test region) Indre I4/4/29 We have today run milage to test the mechanics coupling joints, also further tests with the slipper wheel and spring drive The joints show very little sign of oil leaks, what there is, is coming out of the felt packings. The slipper wheel and spring drive are now aproximatly 90% correct. We have taken half of the springs out of the spring drive damper and made the slipper load 10 lbs. There is just the faintest sign of gear rattle and also crankshaft period. The galloping knock is just audiable. The liquid for the Telegauge arrived today but as the gauge glass is leaking we prefer to wait for the new telegauge that is being sent out. There is no sign of the damper or starter meter bush yet.
