X.4197 Re Oil Separator for Tyre Pump.
We send herewith a further scheme "N" Scheme 637 shewing the separator reduced in diameter to 3" internal and some other proportions slightly modified. Also, what is probably a better position for the pressure gauge.
We have also shewn a screwed-down relief valve similar to that fitted to the Maxfield separator.
We have done this because it seems simpler than the arrangement shewn on "N" Scheme 611, and also less bulky in the event of it being mounted on the outside of the car. But we consider that the best policy would be to try the Maxfield separator and see what defects we find before going ahead with our own separator much.
