Gearbox Synchromesh Rattles.

In confirmation of my conversation with you the other day, will you kindly apply for a provisional patent for the scheme for prevention of rattles from the synchromesh mechanism, as shewn on N. Sch.4095.

The rattles occur when starting from rest in 2nd speed and are caused by periodic variation of the torque applied to the transmission by the engine.

The alternative scheme N.Sch.4101 should be included. This is a cheaper scheme but we cannot yet say that it is as satisfactory.

The patent should be applied for in the name of H.Birsben.
