| C O P Y. L9216 To Wor. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} for EH. from R. {Sir Henry Royce} Copy to J. {Mr Johnson W.M.} R17/B7216. February 7th.1916. Re Commander Briggs' Car. We understand that you will shortly be fitting the aluminium pistons and a somewhat higher compression on this car. This will be a good opportunity of demonstrating whether the slipper flywheel belonging to the car can be still further reduced than the one I have. (Sd) F.H.R. R. {Sir Henry Royce} 49 G.B. is a very nice smooth running powerful engine and is now running with more than ½ the radiator blocked so that air is only passing through less than one half, seems better in every way.
