Bailey - Chief Engineer} /NS {Norman Scott} 7/MG.28.7.39 we sent you two new type Bentley Badges for you to bend to suit the Corniche(Bentley streamline(Experimental Streamline Bentley B.23.A.E)d precursor to R Type Continental, never produced) par) and asked for them to be returned so that we could have sufficient badges produced for the cars being built. (Handwritten annotation 'Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} ' with a checkmark points to 'badges') Up to the time of writing we have not yet received an acknowledgment, or had the badges returned. As you will realize, it will take some time to have the parts enamelled and chrome plated. We should therefore be obliged if you could give us a reply by return. BY {R.W.
