| Y5770. HS {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} To HV from Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} To Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re 25 HP - Japan(Experimental Engine) I. Bg4/E15.5.31 Copy to R. {Sir Henry Royce} Wor. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} HV. RMC. Referring to R2/M12.5.31 now that, owing to the importance of the time element, we have had definitely to agree a specification for the second half of "T" Series, the various new features referred to in R's memo, become the subject of consideration for "V" Series. As mentioned at our conference the other day the necessity of ordering material for "V" Series will be with us in 3 or 4 months so that there is none too much time in which to settle the specification, have one or more experimental cars made up and the 10,000 mile test carried out. I regard this matter as of great importance. Otherwise we shall be forced into the position as with "T" Series of having to continue with the present type of chassis. As soon as the specification has been drawn up, I should like to have a copy of it. Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
