WRAITH III. GEAR CHANGE MECHANISM.

Please receive herewith :-

G.CD.331 Modifications to Change Gear Mechanism.

The control spring washers, nuts and bushes have been deleted from the inner end of the change gear shaft, and in place of same a plain bearing in the aluminium bracket, which is bolted to the gear box is shewn.

To control the change gear shaft a spring, having a load of 3 1/4 lbs. when in reverse, has been added in the outer bracket.

Slight modifications have been made to the adjacent pieces to accommodate the spring.

This design has been made following comments from the Works on the expense of making the original scheme. An experimental set should be made for test before instructing for production. It will go on to an existing gearbox.
